This service is the first point of contact for all general enquiries. It’s free and our aim is to handle your enquiry as quickly and effectively as possible.

What we do

Broadly, we:

  • provide comprehensive information on CCW’s main areas of work;
  • provide a referral service, directing your enquiry to the appropriate individual or organisation.

Access to information

For information on Access to Information (Freedom of Information/Environmental Information Regulations etc.) including who to contact, how we handle and co-ordinate your requests, please see our 'FOI & EIR Information' pages.

Opening hours

08:30 to 17:00 – Monday to Thursday
08:30 to 16:30 – Friday

If you telephone outside of these hours your call will be diverted to an answering machine. We will deal with answering machine messages within 1 working day after receiving that telephone call.

Telephone calls

We aim to answer all telephone calls promptly. If the enquiry service can’t deal with your enquiry, we’ll pass you onto someone who can.

Written enquiries

We aim to acknowledge postal, e-mail or fax enquiries within 5 working days of receipt and let you know when you can expect a reply.
