About CCW

Volunteers

Volunteering in the natural outdoors has benefits to society, the environment and the individuals taking part. CCW recognises that volunteers provide a valuable service that contributes greatly to our work. We aim to provide a range of volunteering opportunities open to all, including Reserve Wardens, Species Recording, Cavers, and Divers, as well as office-based Volunteers.

Volunteering – What’s in it for you?

It is a great way to enhance your CV, and learn new skills. It is also a great way to meet people, and you won’t be out of pocket; you will be able to claim expenses just like any other employee.

To find out about current opportunities please contact our enquiry service:

Tel: 0845 1306 229 email enquiries@ccw.gov.uk

If you become a volunteer with CCW you will receive:

  • an induction pack
  • health and safety information
  • any out of pocket expenses
  • any other information relevant to your role

If you are claiming any benefits; check with your provider whether volunteering would affect your benefits but in most cases it won’t
