Walking in Wales
In Wales, you can walk until you drop.
From arching coastal paths to hikes over rugged hills and
mountains, from leisurely strolls to challenging treks. You can use
our access map to find a variety of walks, or plan your exploration
of country parks and Nature Reserves...
Find a walk
Our walks range from national trails like Offa’s Dyke to shorter
country meanders like the Llancarfan Valley of the Stags circular
route in the Vale of Glamorgan.
Wales has a wealth of sites offering all kinds of walking
activities, from woodland trails to finding out about our heritage
and bird watching. There's plenty of countryside activities for the
children too.

How accessible are they?
All walks highlighted in the access map provide
information on how accessible they are for everyone, including
walkers with families and less able visitors, together with
details on how to reach them by public transport.
What do you think?
All the walks shown here are managed by the local authorities
and should be well maintained and of a good standard. We are very
keen to hear your stories, opinions or experiences - so please
let us know if you enjoyed your walk or if you had any
problems.
