National Access Forum
The National Access Forum for Wales brings
together representatives of landowners and managers, countryside
access user groups, public bodies and voluntary sector
organisations to consider countryside access issues for the
country. CCW administers and chairs the Forum and all meetings are
open to the public...
Established in 2000, following a request from the Government to
consider how best to develop the previous Access body - the
Forum advises the Countryside Council for Wales (CCW) and the
Welsh Assembly Government (WAG).
The primary purposes of the National Access Forum are to help
CCW and the Welsh Assembly Government:
- improve the quality and extent of access to
the countryside and coasts of Wales
- extend the opportunities for enjoyment and responsible outdoor
recreation to all.
In pursuing this goal, the National Access Forum recognises the
close inter-relationship that exists between access management and
the overall environmental, economic, social and cultural well being
of our rural communities.
Future Meetings:
- Tuesday 9th March 2010 (RWS, Builth Wells)
- Tuesday 13th July 2010 (South Wales)
- Tuesday 9th November 2010 (North Wales)
