Birds
Wales’ habitats are home to a wealth of
birds.
A visit to the uplands, for example, could
reward you with the dramatic sight of a hen harrier, a black grouse
or, if you’re lucky, a rare curlew or golden plover. Wales’
oaklands will greet you with the songs of pied flycatchers, wood
warblers, redstarts, garden warblers and great and lesser spotted
woodpeckers.
