There are several kinds of statutory and non-statutory Environmental Assessment processes which are required by organisations delivering plans, programmes and/or projects.

CCW acts as a statutory consultee and provides a range of guidance on four main statutory types of Environmental Assessment:

• Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA)
  
• Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)
  
• Habitats Regulations Assessments (HRA)
  
• Review of Consents (RoC)
